This document sets out the terms of the .com and .net domain name registration service ordered through OpencartExtra.com: the terms and pricing offered, the non-binding nature of an availability lookup, how and how quickly registration is carried out, refunds where registration cannot be completed, ICANN rules and the responsibility for renewal. It is an integral annex to the Distance Sales Agreement.
1. Scope and parties
These terms apply to the domain name registration service ordered from W3 Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi at https://www.opencartextra.com.
Domain registration is carried out with an ICANN-accredited third-party registrar. In that transaction our company acts as an intermediary on your behalf; it is not itself a registrar.
You are the registrant of the domain name. The registration is made with the name or company name and contact details you declared when ordering.
This document governs the terms specific to domain registration. The Distance Sales Agreement applies to payment, the right of withdrawal and general provisions, and the Cancellation, Refund and Right of Withdrawal Policy applies to refunds.
2. Extensions and registration terms offered
Only the .com and .net extensions are currently offered. Other extensions (.com.tr, .net.tr, country-code and new generic extensions) are outside the scope of this service.
The registration term is a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of ten (10) years. The term is chosen in whole years.
The three-year minimum is a service condition applied because registration is carried out manually and because short registration terms increase renewal risk.
A domain label (the part before the extension) may be 1–63 characters long, may contain only letters, digits and hyphens, and may not begin or end with a hyphen. Internationalised domain names (IDN) are not currently supported.
3. Price and payment
The price of a domain registration is USD 25 per year excluding VAT, regardless of the extension. The total is that price multiplied by the number of years selected.
Value added tax at 20% is added to the price. Collection is made in Turkish lira using the foreign exchange selling rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye at the time of the order; the rate applied and its date are shown in the order summary and frozen into the transaction record.
The registration fee is collected in advance for the whole registration term. Instalment payments are not offered.
Domain registration is not included in the hosting service and hosting packages do not cover the domain fee; a domain name is a separate order item.
The price is the amount in force at the time of the order. Future renewals are priced separately at the list price in force on the renewal date; this document contains no undertaking as to a future renewal price.
4. An availability lookup is not a guarantee of allocation
The availability lookup we perform during an order is a point-in-time query against the public registration lookup services of the registries (RDAP, and WHOIS where required) and shows only the position at the moment of the query.
Domain names are allocated worldwide on a first-come, first-served basis. In the time between the query and the completion of registration, the domain name may have been registered by a third party. The statement that a name “appears to be available” is therefore not an undertaking of allocation; final allocation becomes certain only when registration is completed with the registrar.
Where the lookup service cannot be reached, the query times out or the result cannot be interpreted, the domain name is shown as “cannot be checked right now” and purchasing is not opened. This is a deliberate choice to prevent an order being taken on incorrect information.
Purchasing is not opened for domain names that appear to be registered; we do not provide brokerage, offer forwarding or owner contact services for such names.
At the moment the order is confirmed the availability lookup is run again, bypassing any cache. Even so, the domain name may have been taken by the time of registration; in that case the refund provisions below apply.
5. The registration process and how long it takes
Registration is carried out manually by our team with a registrar. Automated registration (registrar API integration) is not currently offered.
Registration is completed within one (1) business day of payment being verified. A business day means Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
When the registration is complete, the domain name, registration date, expiry date, registrar and nameserver details are notified to you by e-mail.
During registration the registrar may send a verification message to your e-mail address. Under ICANN rules the domain name may be suspended if that verification is not completed within the applicable period; answering the verification message is your responsibility.
Your registration request may be refused because of suspected unlawful use, a trade mark infringement notice or registrar restrictions; in that case the fee is refunded in full.
6. If registration cannot be completed: full refund or an alternative name
If for any reason the domain name you ordered cannot be registered in your name — because it was registered by a third party after your order, because the registrar refused the request, or because the name is restricted, reserved or premium priced — you are notified without delay.
In that case two options are offered: (1) a full refund of the amount attributable to the domain item, with no deduction; or (2) registration of an alternative domain name at the same price, with your approval.
You are given a reasonable period to state your preference. If no statement is made within that period, the full refund option applies.
The refund is started using the method used for payment and within fourteen days at the latest; the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank's processing times.
If your order contains items other than the domain name (for example hosting), only the amount attributable to the domain item is refunded and performance of the other items continues. You may also request cancellation of the entire order.
7. No refund once registration is complete
A domain registration becomes irreversible as soon as it is completed with the registrar; the fee has been transferred to the registry.
For that reason the fee for a completed domain registration is not refunded, the registration term cannot be shortened and the domain name cannot be exchanged for another.
This falls within the exception to the right of withdrawal for services performed instantaneously in an electronic environment, set out in subparagraph (ğ) of the first paragraph of article 15 of the Distance Contracts Regulation, and is separately submitted for your approval during the order.
No refund is made either where a domain name is subsequently cancelled at your request, left unused, or taken from you as a result of a trade mark dispute.
8. ICANN and registry rules
Domain registration is subject to ICANN policies, to the accreditation agreement (RAA) signed between the registrar and ICANN, and to the rules of the relevant registry (Verisign for .com and .net). Those rules may change beyond your control and ours.
ICANN's Registrant Rights and Responsibilities document explains your rights and obligations as a registrant and is published on the registrar's website.
Domain names are subject to ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and the Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS). As a result of those processes a domain name may be transferred to a third party or suspended; no refund or compensation is made by us in such cases.
Under ICANN rules a newly registered domain name cannot be transferred to another registrar for sixty days from the date of registration. Changing the registrant contact details may also start a similar lock period.
Additional fees announced by the registry (such as reactivation or redemption period fees) are outside the scope of this service and are priced separately if they arise.
9. Accuracy of registration details and WHOIS/RDAP
ICANN rules require registrant details to be accurate, complete and current. The name or company name, address, e-mail and telephone details you provide during the order are used as the registration details.
Deliberately providing incorrect information or failing to respond to verification requests may lead to the suspension or cancellation of the domain name. We cannot be held liable for any loss arising in such cases.
You must notify hello@w3.net.tr of any change in your contact details; keeping the registration details current is your responsibility.
Some registration details may appear in public registration lookups (WHOIS/RDAP) under ICANN policies and applicable legislation. Which fields are public varies according to the policy applied by the registry and the registrar and is outside our control.

10. Nameservers and DNS management
You may state your nameserver preference during registration. If no preference is stated, the registrar's default nameservers are used, or our servers' nameservers if you use our hosting service.
Management of DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT and similar) is carried out by us on request if you use our hosting service; otherwise it is the responsibility of whoever operates your nameservers.
Propagation of DNS changes across the internet may take time depending on the time to live (TTL) of the records. We have no influence over that period.
The party making a request is responsible for incorrect DNS change requests and for their effect on the availability of your store; we ask for written confirmation before critical changes.
11. Renewal and expiry
A domain name does not renew automatically at the end of its term and no automatic charge is made to your card. Renewal takes place through a new order or a new proforma.
We take care to send a reminder a reasonable time before the term ends. However, responsibility for renewal lies with you, and we cannot be held liable for the loss of a domain name because a reminder did not arrive or was not answered.
After the term expires the domain name enters a grace period and then a redemption period under the registry's policies, and is eventually released. Operations during the redemption period are subject to the additional fees set by the registry.
The renewal fee is calculated at the list price in force on the renewal date and is notified in advance.
12. Transfers
Transferring a domain name to another registrar is not currently offered as part of this service.
If you wish to move your domain name to another registrar, we will help you request the transfer authorisation code (auth/EPP code) from the registrar. That code is a secret; it is never collected through the order form and is sent, on request, in separate e-mail correspondence.
You may indicate during an order that you wish to move an existing domain name to us; the request is passed to our team and assessed separately. It is not a service purchased under this document.
Under ICANN rules a transfer cannot be made within sixty days of the registration date.
13. Use restrictions and suspension
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the domain name does not infringe the trade marks, trade names or other intellectual property rights of third parties.
In cases of misuse such as phishing, malware distribution, unsolicited bulk e-mail, copyright infringement and similar, the domain name may be suspended by the registrar or the registry; we will inform you if that happens, but we are not a party to that decision.
No refund is made where a domain name is suspended or cancelled because of decisions taken by competent authorities or registries.
Registration services may be declined for domain names suspected of unlawful use.
14. Limitation of liability
Our total liability in the domain name registration service is limited to the amount collected for the domain name concerned.
We are not responsible for outages, delays, policy changes and decisions originating from the registrar, the registry or ICANN.
No liability is accepted for indirect losses, loss of profit or loss of data arising from a domain name being lost, suspended or becoming unreachable.
The version of this document is 1.0. It may be updated with prospective effect; the version in force and approved by you at the time of an order applies to that order.
